Insurance Live October 2007                                Volume 1, Number 2 Quotation Input Please note the following guidelines to assist you when using the quotation system: When adding a new quote it is not necessary to include the salutation (Mr/Mrs etc.)  If you need to search your registry for a risk by name it is much easier to do so without the salutation.  Please use full first names, as this is a requirement for the Schedule, which forms part of the legal document. Watch out for Upper/Lower case lettering in the Proposer’s name as how you enter it is how it will appear on the schedule. Automatic Fireworks Cover   Many of your retail customers may shortly be stocking up with Fireworks.   Thanks to facilitâs, if your clients are planning to sell fireworks and are not licensed, it doesn’t have to be a problem. As long as they comply with the Fireworks Regulations 2004 and provided their sums insured are adequate to cover the increase in stock, then we regard this as a normal part of the business – we do not require notification or referral, and will not require additional premium.  Risk Registry Status Below are details of the various risk registry status items, what they actually mean and what action is required: Pending – This is the default status for a quotation that does not need referral to underwriters. When a quotation shows as Pending you are able to modify it, hold covered or NTU it. Referred Awaiting Approval – This is a quotation that needs to be looked at by underwriters; you will be contacted by phone or email if underwriters require any further information. Referred Approved – This quotation has been referred to and approved by underwriters, you can hold covered or NTU it but you cannot modify it, if any modifications are required after a quotation has been approved please contact the underwriters. Referred Awaiting Claims Information – Please select the Claims Comment button and enter further details when prompted, the quote will then be sent to underwriters and the status will show as Referred Awaiting Approval.
